Quilting Fun

It was QQB night last night. It was my sister’s turn to be the hostess, and she can really cook! The food was incredible, and I ate way too much, as usual.

Since last meeting, I sucked big time at getting things on my list finished. I only did 2 out of 5! Guess I need to pay more attention! I’ve made a new list for next time.

punkinKaty made us all the cutest little pumpkin table favors! Just look at these. She even cut the twigs for the stems out of her very own yard. So adorable.

And show & tell was fabulous. Rose Marie showed her Danna’s Sampler quilt. I think it’s great done in pinks and browns. She’s presenting it to a friend for a wedding gift — lucky bride!

Katy showed her Tropical Frothy quilt — a Kaffe Fassett kit she bought in Paducah. This is the one she gave me all the scraps from for my birthday.

Marge was working on embroidery, and reported some progress on the quilt that she is hand quilting that is in her frame at home.

Me? . . . I didn’t show a thing. I didn’t have anything finished enough — dang that Hopper — and I’ve been working! So my “niece”, Gracie, camped out on my lap while I watched everyone else show what they’ve been doing. I’d say a good time was had by all. And yes, before you ask, Gracie IS a quite portly cat . . . I think she’s a bit sensitive about it, so try not to say anything.

  1. Oh, Gracie’s sweet! Yes, I suppose she is a bit of a chunk, but she’s soooo comfy, and so trusting. Sweetness!
