Darlin Darwin

Just look at our little sweetie! This is Darwin, one of our beagles. Darlin Darwin

We took 5 of our darlings to a field trial this weekend, and Darwin won a plaque! This is him resting in between runs. He did such a good job for such a little guy. We are so proud of him.

In this picture, he had been trying to make a nest in which to take a nap, but he’s such a friendly chap, that whenever someone would walk by, he’d have to get up and greet them. I don’t think he ever did get his nap — he was too busy socializing!

Our trip was to southeastern Missouri, close to the town of Delta, which is just outside of Cape Girardeau. I didn’t get to Cape in time to go to the quilt shop there, but I did stop here again, and I did buy some fabric. I didn’t take a picture of what I bought — it’s fairly boring . . . backing for a quilt, and border fabric for another — nothing too exciting. I took along some stitching, and did get a little bit done. I don’t have more pictures from the field trial, because with helping to handle 5 dogs, I always had my hands full and couldn’t run the camera! Although a video of me running after Tex and Lefty when they broke their leash and escaped would have been funny . . .
