Weekly Challenge – November 26

I just completely ran out of time to post a Weekly Challenge last week. Then I realized this Friday would be here before you know it, so I just waited, and yep, sure enough . . . it’s already Friday again!

And I actually did what I said I was going to do!

On time . . . then didn’t get to post about it.

I said I was going to finish something . . . anything . . . just to have one more UFO off my plate. And here is what I finished:

Bella’s Baby Quilt . . . Finish #40 for me for the year . . . Finally! Done before she enters Kindergarten . . . I was beginning to wonder. She can have it for her second Christmas. She won’t actually be 2 until next July.

With that off my plate, imagine my sense of relief! It’s making it difficult to pick the next Weekly Challenge. NOT! I’m thrilled to get to move on . . . Let’s see what I can add to the “Tops Yet to be Quilted” pile this next week . . .

I’m going to work on . . . Vivian’s Flowers some more. I still have several blocks to do, and if I don’t keep that project front and center, I’ll never get it done. I’m sure Mary will be happy to get her quilt . . .

What will YOU be doing?

  1. Hooray! Good job getting a finish! I’ll be working on my mom’s quilt’s quilting…and hopefully will get it done. I doubt it, but I can hope, can’t I?

  2. WooHoo! It was worth the wait! That is one stunning baby quilt! I am planning to finish piecing the silly Log Cabin quilt I’ve been working on. Sigh.

  3. Very nice!

I’ll be plugging away on The Farmer’s Wife. I only got two blocks done at the quilt retreat 😦

  4. I am working fiendishly on Hazel-Ilene. I have all my large blocks made. I have 5 of the setting blocks finished – including the setting strips around each one. What is holding me up now? Somehow I lost the directions for setting block #5. I am now diving into the Hazel-Ilene blog and finding the lost directions. QQB is coming up soon. I also have to cut the borders for the Vicksburg quilt.

  5. Great projects! Lovely flowers! I am completing a circle quilt and will be starting the Rose of Sharon quilt.

  7. love your finish! it’s beautiful! and I love your flowers too… hugs to you! say hi to the cowboy too!
