Inseparable

Prairie Moon Ranch has some pretty awesome staff that help out around the place.

Two of our faithful staff members are always on guard . . . and always together.Skeeter and Lilly never fail to meet us at the gate when we arrive home after being gone, and they both accompany us every step of the way while doing chores.

Someone’s gotta keep all those beasts in line!Someone’s gotta make sure we’re doin’ those chores properly.Someone’s gotta look out for the place when we’re not around. And everyone can use a good helper, right?

  1. These kind of helpers are the BEST! Thanks for sharing.

  2. awww I love these pictures.

  3. Awww. So great. We thought we lost our favorite cat the other day but thankfully she showed up again. She was locked in the shed by accident! She followed Lloyd in when he went to get the snow shovel and he didn’t see her in there! What a relief!

  4. AWWwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwws

  5. I love it when a dog and a cat are best friends. We had a pair of those about 15 years ago — BooBear the calico cat and Bud the border collie were good buddies! BooBear would actually veer off from a beeline for the food dish if she saw Bud across the yard, and he would greet her by licking her ears. I miss them both.

  6. Awwww best friends. You know considering they have such an important job and are on call 24 hours a day in such frigid working conditions, I think they need a raise……more treats!

  7. Awww! Isn’t it wonderful? I used to have a Jack Russell terrier, Casey, (who naturally thought she was a human) and a manx cat named Spiderman..they were so funny together. He actually would nurse her, though he sure wasn’t getting any sustenance from there, and she would lick his ears and face and keep him all clean. They snuggled up together and played tag and hide and seek. So much fun!

Aren’t our farm friends the best?
