Maxwell Owen

Last Sunday, Palm Sunday, Maxwell Owen, my new nephew, my sister’s first grandchild, the son of my only niece, was baptized.

He got baptized in the same church his parents were married in, by the same pastor that married his parents. That is a comforting thing.

He was an absolute angel during the ceremony, smiling and taking it all in. Then he fell asleep!

We all went back to his parents’ house for a picnic in Max’s honor.

Max spent some time playing in his jungle . . .

. . . while the adults had a cookout and ate all sorts of good food.

Then we had ice cream cake . . .

. . . and Max decided it was nap time.
